We’re incredibly excited to share some big news for Louisiana Bayou Society. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, we have officially received a DVX175 Xpress to support our mission. This vessel is going to be a game-changer for us. It will serve as a scouting and support boat, allowing us to access remote areas of the bayou, identify problem sites, and expand our cleanup and conservation efforts more effectively than ever before.
We are extremely grateful for this donation and the trust placed in us to put it to good use for the waterways we all care about. That said, we do have one major hurdle left.
As many of you saw in our recent post, we had to sell our work truck due to mechanical issues. Right now, we do not have a vehicle capable of launching or transporting this boat. While we do have some funds set aside, we are still actively searching for a reliable ¾-ton (or larger) truck, preferably 4×4 crew cab.
If you—or someone you know—might be willing to help, whether through a fair deal, partial donation, or bargain sale, we would love to talk. Your support would directly enable us to put this boat in the water and continue protecting Louisiana’s beautiful bayous.
Please reach out, share this post, and help us keep the momentum going.
Together, we’re making a difference.
